The Record of Manasseh and the Warning for America
Voting for the next administration is now underway, and I am forced to think of the Bible example of King Manasseh of the Southern Kingdom of Judah.
It was a dark time for the Southern Kingdom, who at that time was thoroughly saturated in and by evil. The record of the Scripture is very clear:
Jer 15.1-2
Then the Lord said to me, “Even though Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people; send them away from My presence and let them go! And it shall be that when they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’ then you are to tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord:
“Those destined for death, to death;
And those destined for the sword, to the sword;
And those destined for famine, to famine;
And those destined for captivity, to captivity.”’
Any of my readers who are familiar with the history of ancient Israel may object and say:
This is true. It is also true that this isn't the conclusion of this historical fact. We must contend also with this damning truth:
2 Kin 24.3-4
Surely at the command of the Lord it came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; and the Lord would not forgive.
Harris is running on the platform not only to continue the barbaric practice of abortion, but to make abortion the Law of the Land. In other words, she believes in the murder the unborn for the sin of the parents—by shedding the blood innocent. And if it that wasn't enough that about 1 million unborn infants per year are murdered (all in the name of "women's health"), she wants to ensure that the mutilation of innocent children also continues in the name of the "health" of children who won't be able to make that kind of decision for at least a decade. You need also consider the rampant sin of transgenderism—something supported by Harris.
It is not only the evil actions of unsaved America (as I have been documenting on this site), it is the actions of those who claim to serve the Lord Christ but don't really know Him! Men (and women!) are taking pastorates who don't meet the requirements. Our churches are filled with the unsaved, and there is no real respect for the Word.
Yes, it was a dark time for Israel—and it was destroyed. It could be argued that it is an equally dark time for America.
There may be no destruction of America in the same way as the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC. But depending on the administration that is granted power, our destruction may be just as certain.
Do I know what the LORD may have in store for America? No, of course not. He may spare us—or He may not! We will soon know.
