2 Tim 3.16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

The Final Sequence

Introduction

Since the beginning, mankind has consistently exhibited a disdain for even the notion of absolute Divine Authority, or the “day of reckoning” or final accounting. In that well known third chapter of Romans, the Apostle wrote:

Rom 3.18
There is no fear of God before their eyes.

We have seen the truth of this verse manifest throughout history and played out every day in the news. The vast majority of people live each day as if there will never—could never—be an accounting.

But the Bible is very clear: there will be an accounting, an inescapable time when all will stand before the Lord Christ to give an account for their individual lives.

The purpose of this series is to demonstrate from the Scriptures the fact and details of the coming judgments of mankind by the Lord Christ as the Judge of the Living and the Dead.

It also presents the unthinkably grave and permanent consequences upon those found guilty.

Last of all, what would a time-line—a final sequence—of those events “look like” if we had a vantage point from which we could observe its full scope? The Bible provides the details we need for such a view—with surprising detail.

This series is presented in nine chapters:

  1. A List of the Judgments
  2. The Certainty of the Judgments
  3. The Nether World
  4. The Two Resurrections: Life and Judgment
  5. The Lord Christ is the Judge of the Living and the Dead
  6. The Judgment of the Nations
  7. The Great White Throne Judgment
  8. Comparing the Judgment of the Nations and the Great White Throne Judgment
  9. Events Timeline Summary
