The Misuse of Power by the Jerusalem Apostles and Elders

Planned as Part 3 of a 3-part series, a careful read of the NT shows clearly that legalism made inroads into the early church, beginning wtih Jerusalem. The first huge step occurred at the Council of Jerusalem (documented in Part 2 of this series), but continued because the "Jerusalem apostles and elders" had grown careless with the gospel of grace. This decline was helped in no small part by the growing ecclesiastical power of the church's early leaders.
